Valkyries are creatures native to the Mountains region in the World of Gaia. A very human looking creature, they do, however have pure white wings and not the same intelligence. Powerful warriors when choosing to be so, like the succubi race they have only females and reproduce with worthy male from other races, mainly human.

"Then light shone from Logafell, and from that radiance there came bolts of lightning; wearing helmets at Himingvani came the Valkyries. Their byrnies were drenched in blood; and rays shone from their spears. Helmeted Valkyries came down from the sky - the noise of spears grew loud - they protected the prince; then said Sigrun - the wound-giving valkyries flew, the troll-woman's mount was feasting on the fodder of ravens."

Following the mythos theme of the Mountains region, the Valkyries are inspired by Nordic myth, where the Valkyries appear in the Poetic Edda poems: VöluspáGrímnismálVölundarkviðaHelgakviða HjörvarðssonarHelgakviða Hundingsbana IHelgakviða Hundingsbana II and Sigrdrífumál.

When tamed a valkyrie will produce five Stone, while at the same time consuming two Food.

There are 32 different picture variants of encounters and off-spring.

Possible names, taken from Valkyries and female Nordics, include:

"Brynhildr", "Eir", "Geirahöd", "Geiravör", "Geirdriful", "Geirönul", "Geirölul", "Geirskögul", "Göll", "Göndul", "Gudr", "Gunnr", "Herfjötur", "Herja", "Hladgudr", "Hildr", "Hjalmþrimul", "Hervör", "Hjörþrimul", "Hlökk", "Hrist", "Hrund", "Kára", "Mist", "Ölrún", "Randgrid", "Reginleif", "Róta", "Sanngridr", "Sigrdrífa", "Sigrún", "Skalmöld", "Skeggöld", "Skögul", "Skuld", "Sveid", "Svipul", "Tögn", "Trima", "Trúðr".
